My First Art Festival - Anxiety & nerves before putting my art out there for the first time at the one day Haywards Heath Art Festival:

With hardly any preparation, I decided to showcase my art to the public to receive feedback on my flower paintings. The response was amazing, and people genuinely loved what was on display.

The day was very meaningful, and the feedback received will shape my future work. What stood out the most about the day was how much people appreciated the vibrant colors and intricate details of the paintings.

Interacting with others and discussing my flowers boosted my confidence to repeat the experience. I am now deciding on the items I will offer at upcoming festivals, taking into account the favourites from this one.

One of the cutest moments occurred when my two-year-old granddaughter stood by the festival entrance, inviting people to enter and watch the show in her own unique language. She was determined to have her picture taken next to the banner, believing it would inform everyone that her nanny was inside showcasing paintings. It was truly delightful. 😍

My First Art Festival - 3 top tips on what people love:

  1. People love flower paintings.

  2. Combining animals with flowers is even more popular - particularly bees.

  3. People loved my flowers by month calender.

The feedback on my calendars at the festival was incredibly positive. It has motivated me to focus on this project in the upcoming weeks to ensure the calendars are prepared for a Christmas art festival. The brief video below displays the current progress on the month of June.
